The top 10 largest buildings in the world are almost unimaginably massive. They all have incredible amounts of floor space but they do not all get it the way you would think. Air Force Plant 4
This structure it located in Forth Worth, Texas and is the tenth largest with 6.5 million square feet. It is the home of Tactical Aircraft Systems of the Lockheed Martin variety. This building is a defense manufacturing facility that is owned by the government and employs in excess of 17,000 people.
K-25
This is such a short name for such a big building. K-25 offers up an impressive 6.6 million square feet to make its way onto this list. It used to be a Uranium enrichment building and was constructed during the Manhattan Project. Its spot on this list won’t last forever, though, as plans to demolish this structure are in the works.
The Pentagon
The Pentagon is next on the list and offers up a good 6.6 million square feet of its own. This is where the United States Department of Defense is located. The central plaza of the Pentagon is 5 acres and holds the same famed shape.
The Palazzo
The Palazzo is a hotel that finds its home right on the Las Vegas Strip. It is even larger than the Pentagon with its 6.9 million square feet of tourist attraction goodness. How big is this place? It has its own Lamborghini dealership on site.
Barajas Airport Terminal 4
This building has 8.2 million square feet and is located in Madrid, Spain. This airport terminal handles the majority of flights going in and out of Madrid.
The Venetian Macao
Located in Macao in the People’s Republic of China, this is another giant hotel. This one, however, possesses 10.5 million square feet of space. It has an amazing 3,000 suites and an even more incredible indoor canal system.
Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3
With 10.6 million square feet, this building in Beijing, China has more than 20 airlines operating within it. Here’s a fun fact. This one terminal is larger than all of the 5 London Heathrow terminals put together.
Aalsmeer Flower Auction
This building is located in the Netherlands and has 10.6 million square feet to its credit. This building is the place where people trade 19 million flowers every day.
CentralWorld
CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand is an enormous shopping center with 11 million square feet of space. It has absolutely everything you could ever want.
Dubai International Airport Terminal 3
This terminal in Dubai, UAE has 16.1 million square feet of space, easily making it the largest building in the world. It is known for being the 15th busiest airport terminal in the world. It was built just for the airline known as Emirates Airline. That’s a lot of space for one airline.
